Memories of Summer

I remember in my childhood how very special summer was, when it stayed light longer and the lightning bugs came out. It was a special time, and I used to love going outside and seeing these magical creatures.
Somewhere in life‘s busy pace, the magic of summer has lessened. No longer do we see as many lightning bugs or feel the magic like we did.
Now summer offers different joys. We get views of things that inspire us to paint; the beautiful garden flowers, but he waves at the beach, the sky, in late day, a hazy afternoon thunderstorm that changes the sky again give us fresh topics for our canvas.
I've had to take a break this month due to family needs, but my mind is still actively considering what my next paintings will be. I'm dreaming of new colors textures and shapes that will bring the inspired to life. Sometimes a break can be good for inspiration and I hope to be back at it very soon.
